July 10, 2026:LESSO's technologies for the production of polyethylene composite and high-performance PVC pipes reinforced with large-diameter steel mesh have been evaluated by the Chinese Federation of Light Industry:accordingly, having reached the international advanced and advanced international level.
The commission included Gao Lixin from the professional committee on pipe plastics, Chen Shuixian from Sun Yat-sen University, Jiang Fanming from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fan Yanxiu from Guangdong University of Technology, Liu Jili from Guangzhou, CAO Hua from Guangdong Pharmaceutical University and Yin Guoqian from Zhongcai Agricultural Engineering University.

Technology of polyethylene composite pipes reinforced with large diameter steel mesh
Pipes are a key infrastructure in energy, water management and urban construction. Polyethylene pipes reinforced with large diameter steel mesh have high pressure resistance, corrosion resistance and economical advantages. However, in the production of large–diameter products, melt sagging, deviations in wall thickness, weak steel-plastic joints, uneven wire arrangement, and problems with tightness of the ends occur.

Through joint innovations in materials, molds, and equipment, technologies for stable forming, strong bonding of steel and plastic, and self-adapting strain compensation have been developed. As a result, industrial production of DN1200 composite pipes has become possible.LESSO offers a complete range from large diameter electro-welded fittings to reinforced composite pipes for liquid transportation projects.
High-performance PVC pipe production technology
PVC pipes are chemically inert, resistant to corrosion, heat and atmospheric influences, as well as low ionic emission. They are used in semiconductors, solar energy, and biopharmaceuticals to produce ultrapure water, solvents, and aggressive liquids. During processing, problems include sensitivity to heat and cutting, as well as dimensional instability of thick-coated products.

LESSO overcame production problems by regulating the structure and properties of the material, developing new processing methods and equipment, and ensuring the industrial production of high-performance PVDF systems. As the main developer, LESSO led the preparation of the national standard for industrial PVC pipes and fittings, contributing to the regulation of the industry.

LESSO continues to raise the technological level of the industry through scientific innovation. In the future, the group will maintain the priority of science and innovation:studying the application of new technologies and materials andoffering users around the world safer, more efficient and more environmentally friendly pipe solutions.
