The second generation uses a modular pin connection, lighter structural members and a lifting system for typhoon and red-tide avoidance. The cage can be raised for net inspection, drying, harvesting and maintenance. Zoned cultivation, double-layer netting, intelligent feeders and IoT monitoring support operation. The 2026 brochure records that Zhannong No.1 withstood Typhoon Yagi at level 17; this project record is distinct from the general level-16 design description.

Lifting speed: 16 m/h. The cage descends 8 m in approximately 30 minutes. Two or four equal cages can share a lifting system.
